Description

Situated in stunning countryside, the Haa Yoga Centre in Southern Sweden was founded by Swami Janakananda in 1972. A place of sadhana, Haa is internationally recognized as offering students of all levels unique teachings in classical yoga and tantric meditation.

The rich and diverse teachings at Haa create an environment that fosters learning, sharing and evolving that with individualized practices create a balanced and inspired life.
Haa recognizes that students come because they want to gain experience as well as results. With full participation in the course including relevant theory and individual advice when necessary, students are ensured to benefits fully.
Every year Haa offers a weekend Chakra Retreat in November (2570SEK); 10-day Autumn and New Year Retreats; 14-day retreats from May-July (eg. Prana Vidya and Christmas Retreat); and a month long Kriya Yoga Retreat in July (13420SEK). Teachings are offered by Swami Janankananda and/or senior teachers at Haa. Ten-day courses start at 7420SEK, while 14-day retreats start at 7870SEK. With valid documentation there is a special price for students, unemployed, and pensioners on all courses.
A 3-month sadhana course is offered to experienced students who have attended the 10 or 14 day courses at Haa. This course includes preparation for and learning of Kriya Yoga. The course payment is 30400SEK and is made in 3 installments, non-refundable and reserves your place on the course.

Time outside the meditation hall can be enjoyed in the surrounding countryside where students can walk in the forest, observe the wildlife, canoe or swim in the lake and ride horses. A wood-fuelled Finnish sauna is prepared once a week.

The Center comprises several buildings with gardens and farms in the village of Haa. Three of the houses have single and double rooms with or without private bathrooms, and a dormitory room with good access to toilets and showers. There are two annexes, with additional rooms and facilities.
Oakhill is an eco-farm with accommodation for yoga teachers, yoga teacher aspirants and others who live in the ashram. Kriya Kutir is also situated here, a house with a meditation hall, student rooms and research facilities. Rooms are allocated according to the group’s composition and the participants’ gender and age and single and double rooms can be reserved in advance. Bed sheets (quilt, pillow and sheets) and towels can also be hired or you can bring your own.

Healthy and nutritious organic vegetarian food is served, much of it from their own fields. This diet creates an optimal state and is therefore a condition of the course. Throughout the courses stimulants, such as coffee, chocolate, black tea and alcohol are avoided.
